Zhiren Hu

Zhiren Hu is an IvyPlus Exchange Scholar at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability and the Stanford Center on China's Economy and Institutions (2026-27). He is a fourth-year Ph.D. student at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business and Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. Before entering graduate school, he earned his bachelor's degree in geography from Nanjing University, and worked as a predoc researcher at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). He is an environmental economist, with a focus on the economics of ecosystem services and energy transition.
