Biography

Lingling Hou is a Visiting Scholar at the Stanford Center on China's Economy and Institutions (2026). She obtained her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics at Colorado State University (2012). Currently, she is a tenured associate professor at China Center for Agricultural Policy at Peking University. Her research interests lie in the field of resource and environmental economics in agriculture, with a focus on agricultural green development in China. She is also interested in fostering scientific literacy of elementary school students through social-emotional learnings in China.
