Yunwei Chen is a PhD Candidate in Health Policy and Management (Economics Track) at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill. Her research interests intersect with the fields of health economics, development economics, health services research, and child health and development, with an emphasis on improving child outcomes and reducing health disparities in low-resource settings. Her research focuses on employing rigorous econometric methods to provide insights into intervention development in low-resource settings to improve the well-being of children and families. She works closely with SCCEI on an mHealth-supported child health intervention targeting rural caregivers of young children in rural China, known as the Healthy Future program.
