Tong Liu is a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University. His research focuses on the causes and consequences of environmental, development, and health issues in developing and developed economies with an interdisciplinary perspective from economics and science to facilitate sustainable development. The topics include human capital accumulation, information provision, technology, regulation, and inequality. Tong obtained his PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and bachelor's degrees from Peking University.
