Biography

As an academic editor at SCCEI, Muizz Akhtar brings experience from the realms of strategic communications, nonprofit community organizations, and electoral campaigns to their work. Muizz is also passionate about learning everything, especially topics related to public policy, the social sciences and humanities, as well as urbanism. Their educational background includes a B.A. in International Studies from Texas A&M University, with a minor in Chinese Language and Culture; an exchange semester at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China; and a summer term at the Middlebury College School of Chinese. Above all, born and raised in Houston, Texas, Muizz is civically engaged, an aspiring polyglot, and a punster extraordinaire.
